IDEA Cellular on Tuesday introduced ‘Emergency Internet usage service’, a credit offer to allow uninterrupted internet browsing experience for its prepaid subscribers in Rajasthan.
 
As per the new offer, Idea Prepaid subscribers who have a balance of less than Rs. 2 in their account can now avail upto 50 MB Free Internet usage for 2 days, just by calling 53566, or by dialling *666#, anytime, anywhere from their mobile phones. Idea users who run out of balance can avail the service by dialling 53566 (Toll Free) from their Idea number. Rs. 5 will be recovered from the user’s account on the subsequent Top-Up recharge.
 
With this Idea became the first and the only operator in Rajasthan to provide emergency internet access of upto 50 MB when balance is exhausted.
 
With the growing penetration of mobile broadband, more number of users are now accessing internet on the mobile phone. Mobile users, especially in rural parts of the state are now increasingly accessing internet on the phone. However, due to low or zero balance in their accounts or their inability to recharge immediately, such users are unable to enjoy the internet experience seamlessly or face abrupt interruption in service.
 
Puneet Krishnan, Circle Head, Rajasthan Idea Cellular said, “With our new service, Idea subscribers can now instantly opt for our internet credit facility when they are not in a position to recharge immediately. I am confident that our offer, which is the first-of-its-kind in Rajasthan, will provide great benefits and convenience to our users.”
 
The service is available on all internet usage on Idea 2G in Rajasthan.
