Europe heads for Apple iPhone price cut ahead of advanced 3G version launch
TT Bureau |  |  21 Apr 2008

The whole of Europe is witnessing a decline in the price of Apple’s iPhone due to the latest announcement of Apple to introduce a third-generation version of the iPhone.

Two mobile phone operators in Briatin, O2 and Carphone Warehouse have slashed the price of Apple iPhone’s most basic version by 100 pounds ($197) offering the 8 gigabyte model for 169 pounds and 16GB model for 329 pounds. Other operators like France Telecom’s range also lowered the Apple iPhone’s price in order to increase the sales of the handset.

Apple itself is pushing all the operators across the Europe to cut down the price of iPhone because its sales didn’t go as was expected.
