Avaya announces new Asia Pacific executive appointments
TT Correspondent |  |  17 Jan 2013

Avaya, a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, today announced two enhancements to its Asia Pacific Leadership Team.

Ray Teske will assume leadership of a Service Provider and Global Alliances business across the Asia Pacific geography, working predominantly with APAC Service Providers on bringing to market cloud-based communication capabilities and solutions for businesses across the region.

This will span Unified Communications, Contact Center, Video and Networking solutions ‘as a service’ and will ensure companies wanting to leverage cloud-based communications solutions have access to the same technology and innovation as customers with on-premises equipment.

Teske and his team will leverage Avaya’s global and APAC experience in deploying cloud-based solutions, and continue to drive innovative hosted models and solutions to reduce cost of ownership and deployment for both service providers and end users. Teske has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry across enterprise, service provider and channel focused roles and was most recently Managing Director for the ASEAN business at Avaya.

Lee Chong-Win is the new Managing Director, ASEAN for Avaya. Lee will be responsible for continuing to drive growth in this dynamic and varied market, with a focus on the core countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam while growing Avaya’s business and presence in Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos. Lee most recently led the Customer Experience Management business in APAC, focused on delivering best in class contact center solutions to a diverse range of customers across the region. Like Teske, Lee also brings extensive communications industry experience from previous leadership roles at Nortel, EMC and Periphonics, spanning sales, professional services and engineering disciplines.

These appointments are effective immediately. Teske and Lee continue to be based in Bangkok and Singapore respectively.

In Asia Pacific delivering faster collaboration for smarter decision-making and better business results.”
