RCom ties up with Lenovo to launch co-branded smartphones in India

Reliance Communications (RCOM), India’s fully integrated telecommunications service provider, has forged hands with Lenovo to launch a range of innovative smart phones in the country.
 
The complete range of smart-phones across screen sizes and processor speed will be attractively priced and works on CDMA and GSM network simultaneously and use the Reliance ‘Dual Core’ network advantage that switch calls between the two networks automatically based on the strength and quality of RF signals.
 
The Reliance Lenovo co-branded smart-phones will be exclusively available to Reliance CDMA and GSM customers on its superior network with the widest coverage area covering over 20,000 towns across the country bringing in the best customer experience on the attractive smart-phones.
 
The Indian smart-phone market represents solid growth opportunities where CDMA / GSM smart-phone penetration is still low. The consumer response to our smart-phones in these few months has been very encouraging. Having made strong inroads owing to our innovative product offering, we saw a great synergy with Reliance Communications to provide cutting edge phones for our consumers as a next step to penetrate the market further
 
 Reliance Communications’ partnership with Lenovo is aimed towards leading the next wave of Smart-phones and tablets across the country with the widest footprint of High Speed Data network of Reliance. The range of products and special customer plans will be available across 2500 Reliance stores and 1000 company stores of Lenovo.
 
The Reliance Lenovo co-branded smart-phones will operate on the latest Android operating system with a dual core 1 GHz processor that supports all latest applications and comes with a strong battery life. The co-branded Smart-phones will be available across the widest distribution and retail network in the country managed by Reliance and Lenovo distribution channel.
