After Google Mapathon 2013, a YouTube video creates controversy, but this time for a good cause
TT Correspondent |  |  15 Apr 2013

Within days of Google Mapathon 2013 triggering off a controversy in India about the national security, another security concern on YouTube has become the point of discussion in India. But this time it is laced with social cause.

A YouTube video which is doing rounds has two kids driving a Ferrari F430 Scuderia (CH 04K 8545) on the streets of Shoba City in Thrissur district of Kerala has raised many eyebrows for parents allowing them to drive one of world’s most expensive and fastest cars.

The kids who were allowed to do this without seat belts by the parents could have crashed it but managed to avoid that. The act of parents who apparently wanted their kids show off their kids with this expensive machine got flak from viewers who saw the video. There was no adult in the car to guide them.

The video which has been watched by hundreds of thousands of viewers has evoked mixed reactions’

“Irresponsible, terrible parenting, let me guess Mummy and Daddy will bail Munna out when he kills and maims an unbeknown pedestria”, one viewer said. .

“please dont come to my house with 100kg of explosive, forgive me”, said another.

But some even take pride in India’s growing prosperity with one viewer saying that some jealous people are saying “irresponsible parents”. That seems to be private road inside a residential complex.

“India is now a developed nation, Soon the U.S will go there to give free democracy so they will be "better", someone commented.
