RCom’s Globalcom targets 8 million overseas travellers, launches global SIM

In an attempt to target the 8 million overseas Indian tarvellers, Reliance Globalcom, a subsidiary of Reliance Communications announced the launch of Global SIM which will provide mobile services in 115 countries across the world.

 

Branded as Reliance Passport Global SIM the service will provide free incoming calls in 57 countries and thereby promises to result in a 75 per cent cost savings for the user.

 

The service is available in both prepaid and postpaid options and the company claims that country specific plans are also available for US, China, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

 

Mr. Punit Garg, CEO, Reliance Globalcom said, “Reliance Passport Global SIM is a path-breaking initiative to offer cost effective solutions for international travelers to stay in touch with family, friends and associates. While breaking the prevailing price barriers, Reliance Passport is an Ideal Mobility Solution for frequent travelers across the globe to have their own international number.”
