MTS launches CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in four Rajasthan cities
TT Correspondent |  |  24 Jul 2013

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the MTS brand has launched the advanced CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur.

MTS is also credited to be the first telecom operator in the world to launch the Rev.B phase II network in Jaipur in September 2011. To experience the full power of CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II, MTS India has introduced MBlaze Ultra, a special Hi-Tech dongle providing data download speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps. Incidentally, in 2011, MTS had presented the first MBlaze Ultra dongle to Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur Royal Family when it launched Rev.B Phase II services in Jaipur.

Ashish Bhatia, Chief Operating Officer, Rajasthan Circle MTS India said, “In 2011, MTS became the first telecom operator in the world to launch the CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in Jaipur. “Targeted at the young, tech savvy generation, MBlaze Ultra provides extremely fast data speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps that will significantly enhance customer experience while accessing streaming multimedia. I am confident all our customers would enjoy the MBlaze Ultra experience”.

With this launch, Jaipur, Bhiwadi, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur are the only five cities (all in Rajasthan) in India to have this state-of-the-art telecom technology. The Company plans to take the CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network to many more cities across all nine circles where it provides telecom services and is awaiting the allotment of its third carrier (1.25 MHz) from DoT.
