CWC 4G LTE services launched in Monaco
TT Correspondent |  |  01 Oct 2013

Cable & Wireless Communications, which trades in Monaco as Monaco Telecom (MT), has launched the country’s first Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile data services today (1 October).

LTE is a ‘fourth generation’ (4G) mobile service which will enable the company’s customers to access mobile data at far higher download speeds than previously available. Browsing the internet, downloading files and streaming videos will become almost instantaneous for 4G (LTE) customers.

The company’s 4G (LTE) network covers 98% of the Principality. The installation, undertaken by Huawei, was part of a broader upgrade of the operator’s mobile infrastructure which has resulted in significant improvements for all mobile data users.
