Tata Elxsi Q2 profit jumps over ten-fold to Rs 19.93 crore

Design company Tata Elxsi  reported 10 fold jump in consolidated profit at Rs 19.93 crore for Q 2 compared to Rs 1.81 crore in the same period last year.
 
 Consolidated operating income rose by 22 percent to Rs 189.97 crore in the quarter under review, compared to Rs 155.36 crore in the year ago period, the Tata group company said in a statement.
 
The revenue from the software development and services segment rose to Rs 172.40 cr from Rs. 136.33 Cr an increase of 26.5% over Q2 FY13.
 
The profit before tax (PBT)   rose to Rs 30.07 cr from Rs 2 .89 cr, an increase of over 10 times   compared to Q2 FY13.

The  profit  after tax (PAT)   rose to  Rs 19.93 cr from Rs 1.81 cr, an increase of  10 times over Q2 FY13.

Performance, Madhukar Dev, MD & CEO said “The company has registered an excellent growth across services and geographies. Notwithstanding the testing economic environment, customer organizations are investing in growth strategies, driving the demand for our design expertise. Emerging markets focus along with and the under tapped potential at the bottom of the pyramid has been the other demand driver for our services.”
