C&W bags Aviva £ 300 mn contract for UK and India

Cable and Wireless (C&W) announced bagging a new six year contract from Aviva worth £ 300 million which will involve C&W providing a full communications suite to Aviva’s 35,000 staff based in UK and India.

 

As per the new contract, C&W will continue to manage Aviva’s existing communications infrastructure and also additionally introduce services such as IP telephony and IP contact centre services, managed Blackberry services and advanced speech recognition technology across Aviva sites in the UK.

 

For Aviva’s India operations, C&W will manage the 6,000 call centre seats and also provide onsite support staff. UK operations will involve managing 1000 sites, with 57,000 individual telephone points and 74,000 data points.

 

Commenting, Jim Marsh, Chief Executive Officer, Cable&Wireless Europe, Asia & US, said: “We’re delighted Aviva has chosen to expand our already successful relationship. This is an excellent win for Cable&Wireless, and a tangible vote of support in our service and reliability.”
