Videocon Telecom partners Huawei to launch Wi-Fi service in the Punjab circle

GSM service provider Videocon Telecom partnered with Chinese telecom equipment vendor Huawei to launch Wi-Fi service in the Punjab circle, according to an ET report.

The report has quoted Arivind Bali, Director and CEO of Videocon Telecom told as saying that the company has already started doing Wi-Fi hotspots in Punjab in some key pockets, where the data demand is surging.
 
The company is also eying other circles to roll out its Wi-Fi service in other circles, where it operates.
 
Videocon said that that while Huawei is the main vendor for the Punjab circle, it is also in talks with other companies including an Israeli vendor to deploy Wi-Fi service in other circles.
