Gionee M2 launched at Rs 10,999 in India, comes with 4200 mAh battery

Gionee the rising smartphone maker has launched M2 smartphone Phablet for the Indian market. It comes with a 5 inch display and massive 4200 mAh battery that ensures long talk time and standby time. M2 is priced at Rs 10,999.
 
The Gionee M2 is a dual-SIM smartphone and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, with Gionee’s Amigo UI (user interface). The highlight of the device is its massive 4200mAh battery that promises 24 hours of talktime and 55 hours of standby time. The M2 is all set to compete with Micromax’s recently launched Canvas Power that comes with a similar specs sheet and price. Priced at Rs 9,990, the Micromax Canvas Power comes with a 4000 mAh battery.
 
The M2 sports a 5 inch display with 480 × 854 pixels resolution. It is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor with 1GB RAM. For connectivity, it support 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/A-GPS. The M2 offers 4 GB internal storage is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
 
It gets an 8MP rear snapper and a 2MP front-facing camera. On the software front, Gionee has added camera features such as face beauty effects, hands free photos gesture recognition, motion sensing, mode for horizontal and vertical panoramas, face detection and touch focus. The M2 is available in black and white.
