Arvind Rao resigns as Innovation head of Reliance Jio

Even before launch of its services, Reliance Jio’s head of Innovation Arvind Rao has left the company. He was responsible for content strategy of the company.
 
It could not be ascertained why he left the company even before launch of services.
 
Reliance Jio official spokesperson did not comment on the developments by the time of writing the story. A former colleague of Rao, however, confirmed the developments. Rao joined RIL Jio in November, 2012.
 
Rao is co-founder of OnMobile, a pioneer in Value Added Services (VAS) in India. He was managing director and CEO of the company when he resigned in July 2012.
 
OnMobile said that Rao resigned as corporate governance issues were identified during his tenure.
