LG officially launches G Pro 2 in India for Rs 51500: features quad-core CPU, 13 MP camera

LG, on Friday launched its flagship Android smartphone phablet G Pro 2 for the Indian market at Rs. 51,500. The LG G Pro 2 comes with a 5.9 inch full HD IPS display and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is available in White and Titanium Black colours in 16 and 32 GB variants. 
 
“We launched the G Pro last year in the Indian market and received an exceptionally favorable response from consumers. Following the success of the G Pro, we are launching the new G Pro 2, with enhanced features, based on the feedback of our consumers. The year 2014, is going to be an exciting year, as LG plans to bring out a string of innovative devices, which will capture the imagination of users. By year end, we intend to take on 10% share of the Indian smart phone market”, said Soon Kwon, MD, LG India. 
 
LG G Pro 2 runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM.  It comes in 16 GB and 32 GB internal memory variants and also has external memory slot of 64 GB.
 
It sports a 13 megapixel camera with LG's proprietary OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) technology and also has 2.1 megapixels front camera. The camera features include 120fps HD video, slow motion video, the 4K Ultra HD recording that allows footage to be recorded in a resolution of 3840 pixels x 2160 lines. The Natural Flash and Magic Focus provide the option of preferred depth of focus before the saving of an image post shot taking.

                      

For its long lasting experience it comes with 3200 mAh SIO+ battery. For connectivity it has Bluetooth Smart Ready (BT 4.0) / USB / WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) / NFC / SlimPort. Also, LG said that the sound on the G Pro 2 is 30 per cent louder than the G Pro and its 1-watt speaker system is a first for smartphones.
 
The LG G Pro 2, with its UX features, provides the most optimal experience to users. Its dual browser divides the 5.9 inch screen into two separate windows for easy and intuitive multi-tasking. The Mini View feature allows the screen to shrink and gravitate towards the palm so that users can fully control the phone with one hand free from any hassle. The Content Lock allows the user to lock files, photos and memos, so that personal privacy can be protected from others. Also the Quick Window Case 2.0 allows you to call directly from the small window, take a photo and see the gallery with the flip cover on.
 
The LG G Pro 2 also comes with the stylish Quad Beat 2 headphones that detail sound and provide excellent sound quality. What’s more they are also a perfect fit for the ear. The LG G Pro 2 is available in all LG Shoppes and is priced at Rs.51,500.
