Texas Instruments to introduce projector in cell phones
TT Bureau |  |  17 May 2008

Texas Instruments is making cell phone more than just a mere device for making and receiving calls by introducing a technology known as Pico projector which will enable the users to display their favorite snaps and movies on larger borders.

John Van Scoter, senior vice president of Texas Instruments has assured that the projectors in mobile phones will be available later this year. Texas Instruments earlier introduced Pico’s DLP (Digital Light Processing) Pico chipset in February which included an imaging chip and a processor unit.

The company expects to come up with such invention in mobile phones by the second half of this year.
