Microsoft launches much awaited Nokia XL for Rs 11489

Microsoft Devices, on Monday launched the Nokia XL that run Android apps, will begin selling in India for Rs. 11,483. It has 5 inch IPS capacitive color touch screen and comes with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls on Skype and a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash. It comes with a powerful 2000 mAh battery, rated for 16 hours of talktime and upto 41 days of standby.

This will be further amplified through the X+ which will be simultaneously launched with the XL completing the Nokia X family serving as the perfect introduction to the world of Android apps, , coupled with signature Nokia experiences, and the most popular Microsoft services.”, said Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India Sales, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy.
 
Nokia XL is powered with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor with 768 MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card. It runs on the Nokia X software platform OS and is the successor of Nokia X.

                                    
 
The new Nokia XL is armed with the Fastlane experience which has been completely re-imagined for the Nokia X family. Fastlane is now more customizable and social. Users can select what appears on their Fastlane feed, read notifications from their social networks and update their status from within Fastlane, making the experience even more productive.
 
Consumers can access and download a wide array of Android apps, which can be side loaded as well as downloaded through Nokia’s own store and several popular third-party apps. Leading global apps will be available at launch for the Nokia X family of devices, including Facebook, LINE Free Voice and Messages, LINE Camera, LINE Bubble, Picsart, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Real Football 2014, Skype, Spotify, Swift key, Twitter, Viber, Vine and WeChat, among others. Additionally, as a first for Nokia customers around the world, BBM, a premier mobile messaging platform, will also be available on the Nokia X family of devices.
 
To allow consumers to enjoy apps on Nokia XL, Microsoft Devices has tied up with Airtel to give users free unlimited download of Android Apps for six months. The plan allows upto 500MB of free usage through which consumers can download their favourite apps via the Nokia Store and the 1Mobile store.
