Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley and now Obi Mobiles, Co-founder today launched its first flagship smartphone in India, the Obi Octopus S520, at Rs. 11,990. The smartphone is now available online at e-commerce portal Snapdeal, which is the company's online partner for the handset.

Obi Octopus S520 Dual SIM smartphone comes with 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS display (pixel density of 294ppi). It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and powered by an octa-core MediaTek (MT6592) processor clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with 1GB RAM.

Obi Octopus S520 Dual SIM smartphone also has 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. Its inbuilt storage is 8GB which can be expandable up to 32GB through microSD card.

For connectivity options smartphone has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, and 3G connectivity as well with 1800 mAh removable battery which can deliver up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time.

Metallic design, the Octopus S520 claims that the thickest part of the device is 8.4mm and according to the official release, Obi Octopus S520 Dual SIM smartphone package contains a flip cover, screen protector, a charging cable and earphones as well.

The company also confirmed that it has also set up over 95 service centres across India for the after sales support of its Obi handsets.
