  Gionee has launched its new smartphone Marathon M3, the successor to its M2 smartphone in India at an MOP, (market operating price) of Rs. 12,999. As the name suggests the major highlight of this device is its 5000 mAh battery followed with decent specs. However, there is no official announcement of the pricing or availability of the device.
Gionee Marathon M3 features a 5 inch HD IPS One Glass Solution display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is a dual-SIM device and runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core Cortex A7 processor with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage and it is further expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. It sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera.
For connectivity it includes 3G, Wi-Fi, WLAN Direct, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. It includes a proximity sensor, accelerometer, and compass (magnetometer).
As per the listing, the company listing claims that this battery can deliver up to 32.46 hours of talk time on 3G, and up to 51 hours of talk time on 2G networks, or 32.8 days of standby time. The handset measures 144.5 x 71.45 x 10.4mm and weighs 180.29 grams. |
