Alcatel-Lucent and Convergys signed a multi-year non-exclusive agreement to offer an integrated Business Support System (BSS) for operators.

According to the deal, Convergys Infinys applications will be integrated into Alcatel-Lucent’s Business Support System (BSS) solution and the tie-up aims to target both mobile and fixed line operators.

Apart from that, the tie-up will also converge billing solution combing both Convergys and Alcatel-Lucent in prepaid and postpaid segments.

Convergys plans to capture new markets and geographical areas through this deal. “This reseller agreement breaks new ground for Convergys. By working with Alcatel-Lucent we are extending our business model to enable more operators to benefit from the fully convergent pre- and postpaid capabilities of the combined solution,” said Bob lento, President, Information Management at Convergys.
