Bharti Airtel extends its managed services deal with Ericsson

Bharti Airtel, on Monday signed a two-year extension of its existing multi-vendor, multi-technology managed services deal with Ericsson. Under the terms of the new agreement, Ericsson will manage 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE, Intelligent Network, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi technologies in 15 circles. This agreement solidifies Ericsson's partnership with Bharti Airtel, while helping to increase business innovation and customer satisfaction.
 
"We are committed to helping Bharti Airtel enhance customer experience and maximize operational efficiencies. We believe that our expertise in the managed services domain will enable Airtel subscribers to enjoy reliable services - and an enhanced digital experience across all generations of mobile technologies," said Chris Houghton, Head of Ericsson's Region India.
 
Ericsson will provide the full suite of managed services via a centralized, state-of-the-art Global Network Operation Center, as well as field services via a distributed network of service centers.
 
With this 150 million Airtel subscribers to benefit from enhanced network and high speed broadband services.
