Micromax launches Canvas Fire 4 smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS for Rs 6999

Micromax has launched its new handset, the Canvas Fire 4 in India for Rs. 6,999. The smartphone is available both on e-commerce websites and physical retail stores. However, the handset is not yet listed on the company website.
 
Micromax Canvas Fire 4 features a 4.5 inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. The smartphone boast an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.
 
Canvas Fire 4 comes with 8GB internal memory that is further expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. The device is power backed by a 2000 mAh battery, which delivers up to 300 hours of standby time. The handset also sports dual front-firing speakers and Cirrus Logic Wolfsan Stereo DAC to enhance the audio output.
 
For connectivity Canvas Fire 4 includes - Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0. It comes with the pre-loaded apps, like Newshunt, Paytm, Dr. Safety, Snapdeal, Saavn, App Center, MAD, Ask me, Clean Master, Quickr, and Chaatz.
 
Micromax Canvas Fire 4 will heat up the competition in the budget range Android 5.0 Lollipop OS category.
