Google CEO Sundar Pichai to visit India next week; expected to announce Android One v2 and to meet PM Modi

Google CEO Sundar Pichai is scheduled to visit India next week. He is expected to announce the launch of Android One v2. This will be the Sundar Pichai's first visit to India as CEO of Google.

Earlier Google had teamed up with three Indian players like - Karbonn, Micromax and Spice but the Android One failed to impress the mass audience in India.

But in second addition of Google’s Android One program, which aims to sell more budget and affordable smartphones in India.

The company has, however, sent out an invite for an event on December 16. "At Google, we believe that technology can change people's lives for the better. Indians are coming online at an astonishing rate with affordable smartphones. These new users have a completely fresh view on what the internet has to offer. Please block your date for an event with Google as we outline our vision for these users," the invite said.

Sundar Pichai is also expected to meet President of India, Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to discuss Google’s ambitious projects in India.
