Motorola unveils “Good” suite for enterprise mobility communications
TT Bureau |  |  03 Jun 2008

Acknowledging the growing need to add more than just mobile email to mobile applications, Motorola’s Good Technology Group on Monday unveiled a new mobility suite- the Good Mobility Suite version 6.0, which is bundled with a new managed-service virtual private network (VPN), an enhanced device management and security platform.

The new mobile suite, which will include Good Mobile Connection, Good Administration Center and Good Mobile Messaging, claims to provide organizations with more secure, seamless, and manageable mobile access to enterprise information and applications.

Furthermore, the new offering will provide a unified environment for deploying and managing all Good applications, devices, security policies, and data access rights. This provides flexible access for IT personnel to manage devices from wherever they are, said the company.

Boasting of new interface features like as a customizable home screen and voice-activated dialing even when a device is password-protected, the Good Version 6.0 is expected to hit the market in late 2008. The software and service will support a broad range of smartphones and will support both IBM Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange email systems.
