Mobile payment services firm, Paymate has attracted $ 9 million investment from venture capitalists firm, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Mayfield Advisors and Sherpalo Ventures as part of its second round of funding.

Kleiner Perkins and Sherpalo had invested $5 million in the first round of funding held in 2006. Mayfield Advisors managing director Nikhil Khattau will join the board of PayMate.
