Spice eyes the VAS route for global expansion
TT Bureau |  |  16 Jun 2008

Spice Group Chairman B K Modi said that the company is now aiming to become a dominant Value Added Services (VAS) player with a global presence.

He cited an element of uncertainty in the licensed business like that of an operator as the reason to foray into unlicensed business of VAS. He also added that unlike an operator which generally is a regional player a VAS player can have a global footprint in a comparatively easier way.

The Chairman also revealed that the company is in talks with Sony to develop content for Spice’s mobile devices.
