Vodafone Spain head likely to lead European operations
TT Bureau |  |  16 Jun 2008

Francisco Roman, who joined Vodafone Spain in the year 2003, and is the current head of Vodafone Spain has emerged to be a front runner to replace Vittorio Colao as CEO of its European operations, reports the Sunday Times.

Colao will vacant the post as he has to replace the outgoing chief Arun Sarin after the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting on July 29.

Vodafone’s emphasis on the European operations resolves on the fact that the group despite focusing on the potential of emerging markets still received 74% of the group revenues from European markets last year.
