Sterlite Technologies bags contract worth Rs.107 crore from BSNL

Sterlite Technologies announced signing of two agreements with BSNL for fibre optic cables and copper cables valued at about Rs.107 crore.

 

The first contract involves installing Starlet’s ribbon fibre optic cables in 900 cities for BSNL. The second contract will require Sterlite to install 10 to 20,000 pair copper cables with an aim to support growing demand for ADSL connections as well as basic telephony in rural areas.

 

The contracts are scheduled to be delivered between July and December 2008 as per BSNL requirements.
