France Telecom eyeing Algeria mobile market foray

Amid TeliaSonera deal swinging in the air, France Telecom is mulling to enter Algerian market either by acquiring any private operator or through a 3G license in the country, reports La Tribune.

 

According to the reports Egyptian group Orascom and Qatari company Qtel negotiated with France Telecom last year for selling their Algerian mobile phone businesses, Djezzy and Nedjma respectively, but didn’t finalize any agreement.
