Sybase acquires Cable &Wireless'' MMS unit

Sybase claimed to have become world''s largest data roaming service provider as it entered into a deal with Cable and Wireless giving it exclusive worldwide rights to offer mobile data roaming services. Additionally the company also acquired Cable and Wireless' international MMS Hubbing service.

 

Sybase President, Marty Beard said that both the developments will enable its enterprise customers to offer enhanced applications, marketing, and customer service to their respective clients.

 

Sybase claims to have increased its reach to almost 500 mobile operators across the world through the deal.
