Gameloft in talks with leading handset makers for Indian market foray

Aiming to establish it presence in Indian Market, Gameloft, a leading international publisher and developer of video games for mobile devices has initiated talks with leading mobile phone vendors like Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and LG to incorporate games in the handsets.

 

Currently engaged in partnerships with Vodafone and Airtel, the company is developing games based on Indian TV programs in local languages with its studio at Hyderabad.

 

Speaking further on the occasion, Gameloft Software country manager (India) Ravi Kumar said “We now experience a strike rate of 2,000 game downloads from our association with Vodafone and Airtel in India. This is low compared to developed markets where three games get download every second.”
