Huawei''s handset unit offloading interests two groups from US

Chinese manufacturer Huawei''s proposed deal to offload significant stake in its handset business has witnessed high level of interest from two US-based groups with one involving Silver Lake and Providence Equity Partners while the other includes names such as AEA Investors and General Atlantic.

 

The next round of the deal is expected to commence soon and may witness the bidders forking out more to gain a stake.
