Associated Press'' mobile news network claims tremendous jump in media participation
TT Bureau |  |  22 Jul 2008

Associated Press (AP) claimed that its Mobile News Network has witnessed tremendous surge of 580 percent additions in media participation as about 728 AP newspapers have joined the network since its launch in May.

The news network currently covers 100 top designated market areas and provides widest coverage of content like breaking news, sports, entertainment and business developments for consumers on the go. Speaking further about the achievement Jeffrey Litvack, AP global director for new media markets said “With over 700 news content providers, the Mobile News Network is now the first national footprint for local news on the mobile phone enabling mobile users to access their local trusted sources of information wherever and whenever they want.”
