Sistema Mass Media has selected NDS Technologies’ solutions to secure and manage its IPTV and Mobile TV platforms, enabling it to deliver converged services for its subscribers.  

Under the deal, Sistema will make use of NDS Unified Headend to deliver content or Video-on-demand (VOD) services in a secure manner to set-top boxes (STBs) Portable Media Players (PMPs), digital video recorders (DVRs), PCs and mobile devices using a single system to control the content distribution.  

Furthermore the company will deploy NDS'' secure mobile TV solution, VideoGuard Mobile(TM) which will guard its upcoming DVB-H mobile TV service. The integration will protect the broadcast content delivered over Sistema’s mobile TV network, protect its subscription revenues and will offer enhanced services.  

NDS claims that it will also provide its content protection services for Sistema’s IPTV operations which will enable secure delivery of the content over its IP network to its triple play users.
