T Mobile purchases additional spectrum for $98 million

With the US’s no. 4 mobile phone carrier T mobile readying to build out its countrywide 3G wireless network, the company announced the purchase of an additional spectrum from Nextwave Wireless, reports RCR Wireless News.

 

The spectrum deal valued of $98 million, includes Pittsburgh, Sacramento, Calif., New Orleans, and Little Rock, Ark, and is in line with the $4.2 billion worth of spectrum deal won by T mobile in 2006.
