Siemens product lifecycle management (PLM) Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division was used by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) to design and manufacture Russia’s first paperless aircraft, Superjet 100 (SSJ100).

Under the collaboration, Siemens PLM Software’s Teamcenter software suite provided the Product Data Management Platform to SCAC and assisted its 1,700 engineers and manufacturing specialists working in over eight countries across the world with international partners and suppliers to enable the production of Russia’s first paperless aircraft. Further Teamcenter provided 3D models and Digital Mock-Ups related to the production of SSJ100, said SCAC.

Speaking on this achievement, Viktor Soubbotin, President, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company said “We set out with an aggressive plan and succeeded because of our collaboration with partners and suppliers powered by Teamcenter.”
