TT Bureau |  |  20 Aug 2008

Drishti-Soft Solutions announced the launch of a FreePBX targeted towards the SME segment in the country. The FreepBX derives it names from the concept that IP-PBX enables enterprises to optimally use the IP infrastructure and through a IP-PBX no call charges are incurred by enterprises.

Drishti claims that its IP-PBX provides all the features and facilities provided by conventional PBXs and allows enterprises a convenient migration path. The company claims its IP-PBX scores over conventional PBXs as it offers more flexibility and extensibility.

Drishti says the products use Digium cards, Xorcom''s USB Channel bank or media-gateways as per need and is based on Asterisk Open source.
