UK-based iCallGlobe’s social networking and IP telephony company, Youtring is planning to enter India to tap the huge mobile subscriber base.
As per reports, the company is likely to finish its testing phase of enabling VoIP calls through mobile using GPRS or Wi-Fi connection by October.
Apart from this the applications on offer include free SMS, online calls and voice chat. The company claims to have 25,000 members on its roll with 15,000 of these from India.
Company Co-founder and Head Business Development, Sudhi Menon says the company aims to target about 100 million subscribers by 2012. |
