UTStarcom bags Aksh contract to deploy IPTV solutions across 20 cities on BSNL network

Telecom vendor, UTStarcom and Aksh Optifibre announced a tie-up under which the latter will deploy UTStarcom’s end-to-end RollingStream® Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) solution in 20 cities on Bharat Sanchar Nigam, Ltd. (BSNL)’s ADSL 2+ network. Aksh is set to rollout its icontrol services in 20 cities targeting 250,000 broadband subscribers of BSNL.

 

The UTStarcom-Aksh deal is considered to be an extension of their business relationship which also involves a similar tie-up for IPTV services to MTNL subscribers.
