EMC launches unlimited online data backup service on Lenovo SL series
TT Bureau |  |  03 Sep 2008

EMC Corporation today announced the availability of unlimited online data backup service on all new Lenovo ThinkPad SL series notebooks, designed particularly for small business professionals.

Powered by EMC Mozy, the service offers unlimited online backup capacity, an open and locked file support, allowing business professionals to back up information without shutting down any programs.

With the service, users can control the amount of bandwidth the online backup service consumes and its Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) helps users privately manage encryption.

Simultaneously, EMC announced the opening of Mozy’s first international data center located in Dublin, Ireland to better serve Mozy and Lenovo users worldwide.  The new data center will address certain government regulations pertaining to electronic data storage and encryption export restrictions, said EMC.

The new Lenovo Online Data Backup service is available forthwith as a free 90-day trial with up to 5 GB of storage with the purchase of select Lenovo notebook models.
