Convergys considers restructuring business verticals
TT Bureau |  |  03 Sep 2008

Convergys said yesterday that it is considering splitting its businesses with an aim to separate its information management business into a separate vertical. A final decision is likely to be taken in the fourth quarter.

“We believe it''s prudent to consider separating information management into an independent entity as a means of enhancing the strength and focus of each of our businesses to better serve our clients, provide more opportunities for our employees, and bolster each business' competitive position," said Dave Dougherty, Convergys' chief executive and president.

Centerview Partners will act as the financial advisor for the deal.

Convergys’ information management services include the billing services which it offers to telcos like AT&T and Orange.
