Nokia Siemens appoints Khaled Shams as country director for Bangladesh

Nokia Siemens Networks announced the appointment of Khaled Shams as the country director of Bangladesh, becoming the first Bangladeshi to head the Bangladesh operations of a telecom multinational firm.

 

In the new capacity, Khaled will head the Bangladesh Country Management team and will be chief spokesperson for Nokia Siemens Networks.

 

Khaled, an electrical engineer with a Masters in Business Administration from Dhaka University, comes on board with 16 years of experience in the telecom field.

 

Before taking up the new role, Khaled was part of the Siemens communications group for more than 14 years, and was the Head of Communications division at Siemens Bangladesh prior to NSN''s formation.

 

He will assume the new position starting 1st September.
