TT Bureau |  |  16 Oct 2008

YuuROK, a joint venture between ROK and YuuZoo Corp, claimed that the subscriber base for their mobile social community services which includes mobile email services, has crossed 300,000 subscriber base mark.

The tie-up further claimed that it is well on course to achieve 1 million subscribers in the next few months and the 3 million mark within 12 months.

The service offered by YuuZoo comes for free and requires a GPRS connection.

“YuuROK not only delivers Blackberry-like mobile email functionality to mass-market WAP-enabled mobile phones at no cost to the user, it also provides a unique mobile social network service with several value-added applications such as ebooks, daily news and sports news feeds, daily comics and jokes all designed to encourage uptake and use of the service.” said Ron Creevey, Group President of YuuZoo.
