Tata Indicom launches instant messenger services

Tata Indicom, today announced the launch of its instant messenger services dubbed as ‘Tata Indicom Instant Messenger Service’ which allows its subscribers to create, add friends as well as relatives as well as chat with them at a monthly subscription of Rs 49 for 30 days for unlimited messaging.

 

Subscribers need to log on to Tata Zone and download the application. The service is available to prepaid as well as postpaid subscribers and supports selective Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and Huawei handsets.

 

Pankaj Sethi, President, Corporate Services, Tata Teleservices Ltd, said, “The Tata Indicom Messenger was created with the objective of taking one of the Internet’s most popular applications—Instant Messaging—to mobile phones. Our vision is to create a cross-operator instant-messaging community, which, in times to come, will become the next big killer app on mobile, one that will likely replace the SMS as a communication medium.”
