Vanu’ technology may cut wireless equipment cost by half

A new software-driven radio solution developed by US-based Vanu Inc claims to reduce the wireless network equipment cost by half. Vanu has developed a solution which it claims does away with need for different radio infrastructure for different needs.

 

IBM has used Vanu technology for BSNL’s exchange in Velalkondom, South India.

 

The technology is considered to be of help to operators keen on providing mobile services on dual technology.
