China Mobile to procure 3G equipment from Ericsson & NSN as well

China Mobile will reportedly place 3G equipment order to Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) apart from the local players i.e. Huawei, ZTE and Datang Telecom who will get the major part of the order.

 

China Mobile is licenced to offer 3G services based on TD-SCDMA standard which is perceived to be 3G standard developed in China. The company plans to invest $8.6 billion this year alone.
