UTStarcom Inc. said that its Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) innovation has fetched honors from Informa and the IPTV World Forum in the preliminary rounds of IPTV World Awards program 2009, where it also earned a spot in the “Most Innovative New Service” category for its development and deployment of the iControl IPTV service in collaboration with Aksh Optifibre Ltd.

The IPTV World Series Awards which is to be held on March 25, 2009, in London recognizes the best of the best in the global industry and gives all honorees a mark of quality, innovation and leadership.
