Kuwait’s Zain picks up 31% stake in Morocco’s Wana

Zain announced picking up a 31 percent stake in Morocco’s’ third mobile service provider, Wana Corp in deal valued at $ 324 million.

 

“With 22.5 million mobile customers representing 70 percent penetration, Morocco is an exciting new region for Zain to extend our footprint to 23 countries,” said Chief Executive Officer Saad Al-Barrak.
