Tata Indicom to urge postpaid subscribers to support ‘Earth Hour’

Tata Teleservices will send out text messages to all its postpaid subscribers urging them to support WWF’s Earth Hour campaign and switch off their lights between 8.30 to 9.30 pm on March 28, 2009.

 

Rajeev Narayan, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Tata Teleservices said, “As part of the Corporate Sustainability ‘Big Picture’ we have identified two plans under which we will touch the communities in a sustainable manner - environment and education. Even across the Tata Group Climate change and conservation are the most pivotal pieces as far as Corporate Sustainability is concerned. We will not only participate in this event by turning off all lights in our office in Delhi and Mumbai between 8:30PM to 9:30 PM but will also urge all our subscriber to do so by sending out text messages to them. This is our contribution to an endeavor, with a larger goal of promoting a healthy environment, to create awareness and imbibe a culture of responsible living.”
