C-DAC comes with mobile navigation solution

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) has come up with a new mobile navigational solution named, Saarathy.

 

The software enables features such as know where we are, multilingual support, read map layers such as road, landmarks and intrinsic formats, display satellite data, rescue model to track the user on a map background along with emergency sound, navigate module to create new path, save routes taken, warning when a planned route is not followed, warn when approach hazardous/restricted area, replay tracks and lastly a geo tagging module by enabling the user to click photographs with automatic inscribing of coordinates (latitude and longitude) information.

 

CDAC expects the software to find application in emergency, police, mobile tracking, medical information, personal safety, tourism, transport, field data collection, Defence.
