The company created a stir in India’s mobile services domain with launch of Monsoon Dhamaka‘. And it seems it is set to create another stir with the launch of its GSM based mobile services. ADAG’s Reliance Communications announced today notching up of 11.3 million mobile subscribers in the January-March quarter period.
RCom further claimed to have added 3million GSM mobile subscribers in March making it the highest to achieve so ahead of incumbent, Vodafone.
“Reliance Communications is happy to create yet another World Record by adding 11.3 million new subscribers in a quarter. The World Record subscriber additions are a true testimony of the wide network reach, quality of service and strong product proposition offered by Reliance Mobile”, said S.P. Shukla, President – Wireless Business, Reliance Communications.
“The overwhelming customer response to our recently launched nationwide GSM services has enabled us to bag 26% market share and experience over 113% growth in quarterly net additions. We are confident of further enhancing our leadership position through a series of consumer-centric initiatives that we will launch in the days ahead”, he added.
In January the company had claimed to create a world record by registering over 5 million new subscribers for its GSM services, the highest by any operator outside China. |
